We rave about oils, a lot. When it comes to boosting the condition of your hair there really is no better at home solution than oils. But a lot of people question us about the difference between oils and serums. They get put in the same category a lot, but we're here to give you the heads up that they couldn't be more different.
A lot of people opt for serums when they're wanting to improve the condition of their hair when they should really only be used for the purpose of styling your mane. They do have benefits for sure, they're great for preventing further damage as many are heat protectants and they're exactly what you need when you're aiming for a super sleek, frizz free mane. But if you're wanting to boost the condition of your mane, it's not the serums you want to be reaching for.
Oils are everything you need to give your hair a moisture boost, to strengthen and to nourish. We believe the best way to use oils is as a masque once a week. Cover your mane in the oil and wrap it up in to a bun. If you're not doing anything during the day then you can leave it on, the longer the better. But putting it on for a few hours in the evening will still work wonders. Just be sure to shampoo thouroughly to make sure you're not left with that "conditioner that didn't wash out" feel after.
So if you're wanting a styling product that'll give sleek and frizz free results, reach for the serum. But if you're wanting a mane health boost, oils are your best friend.
