It's the 3rd week of the 28 day hairstyle challenge and I've ventured out with some fresh new hair styles! Take inspo and try out one of these looks for work or a night out, scroll down to see more..
DAY 15: MESSY FISHTAIL BRAID
To get this thick, messy fishtail I used clip on extensions and yep, you guessed it, texturising spray. What did we ever do before texturising spray?
Start by bringing all of your hair to one side, leaving the front bits out and divide into two equal pieces. Separate a half-inch section of hair from the outside of the left ponytail and pull this piece across the top of the left ponytail over to the right ponytail. Repeat this until you get about 4 inches away from the end of your hair and secure in place with a clear plastic band. Add loose waves to your front pieces and pull out the fishtail to make it look a thick as possible!
DAY 16: SLEEK + STRAIGHT
This is a look I don't usually do but I wanted to try something different! I blow dried my hair using the Dyson Super sonic for that smooth finish, then I went over it with the GHD straighteners to give it a dead straight, sleek look. I didn't use extensions for this look but feel free to add super long ones for those Kim K vibes!
DAY 17: HUN + HEADBAND
A super cute look when you want to add some detail to your hair! Start by adding some soft waves to your locks with the GHD soft tong. Take the back section of your hair and pin it up into a bun. Add on your favourite headband just behind your bangs and push it back to add volume to the back section. Spritz in some hairspray and you're done!
DAY 18: BRAIDED HEADBAND
Another headband look but this time with a braided piece - super easy to do! Start by taking a small extension piece and braiding it. You can get as creative as you like with this and do a fishtail braid too! Clip one side in just behind your ear under a section of hair, bring it round and secure into place with a bobby pin on the other side. Push it back slightly to lift the back part of your hair!
DAY 19: KNOTTED BRAID
Separate your hair into two pieces and tie a knot. Once the knot is tight, hold the two ends in your right hand and pull another piece of hair from the left side of your head, and create another knot with that piece and the section you were already holding in your right hand. Continue knotting, alternating from which side of your head you draw hair until you get 3 inches away from the end and tie in place with a clear plastic band.
Sounds more complicated than it is but once you get the hang of it you'll be left with a cool AF knotted braid. Use wave spray before to give your hair that extra grip!
